I wonder what they mean when they say the Gold Coast is a "Gay Comfort destination"? And they seem to see "gay marriage" as a good money-earner for the hotels. Fair enough, I suppose.

I think the Gold coast is a little more laid back for all its worth, you know what I mean?
Anything goes down there, bikers, mafia, tv shows, celebrities, corrupt pollies, big casinos, fast money and convertible cars.

It is a whore and hey! we all know that whores are ok.

Anyway the hotel accommodation around Brisbane is strictly "Travel Lodge" ...

They're probably right on that one. People dump HEAPS into their weddings and the associated lead-up and aftermaths. Good money spinners - and the earnings can easily increase by 10% with just a vote in Parliament!

Buck/Hens nights - venues, transport, entertainment
rehearsal dinners, - meals, venues, decorations
The Day - venue, celebrant, decorations, special clothing/hair/makeup, limosine services, venue, celebrant, flowers, photography, decorations
receptions - bands, venues, meals, cake, decorations, bevs, photography, administration/security

As of me, it looks like a place of pleasure where you can do what you want and people don't mind about your business.
