HPV is linked to a significant proportion of oropharyngeal cancers with some anatomical areas being more prone. Traditionally smoking & alcohol were big players but it is believed now oral sex is a major factor in transmission of the virus to these areas. HPV is a risk factor just as smoking & alcohol are risk factors for the cancer, however patients tend to have better response rates to treatment in HPV related oropharyngeal cancer.
There is a vaccine available for males & females which if given prior to any sexual contact or infection by HPV protects against 2 of the strains that are linked with this form of cancer

Not to say that it is true, but when you look at it from a financial aspect of it, why would a pharmaceutical company develop a cure when they are making profit on medicines used for a lifetime? Same with other diseases and viruses such as cancer, diabetes, etc.

you are correct. and HPV is also one of the causes of anal cancer..
there's a vaccine out there at the moment thats marketed for cervical cancer but also prevents the same strains which cause oral/throat cancer as well as anal cancer..

The MSHC had/has a trial for the HPV virus for guys under 20 I think, BUT you need to be anal sex naive.

If you want to bareback then bareback its your choice you'll have to live with the consequences.
But in truth everyone needs to be honest about their status.
Me personally I prefer to bareback as a covered dick feels like a dildo which im not really into.
Saying that I prefer not to be blown into but rather over.
I would rather wait and abstain and get the allclear to do BB than have protected sex
but each to our own.

That's good news for the under 20yrs who still have their "cherry" intact.......sadly for most of the people I know, not only is 20yrs a dim dark memory but so is having their "cherry" popped.
