I must have a bad Internet connection the Czech Republic wasn't on my list!

Thailand? The land where you are seen as a walking ATM. They only smile when they want your money, and every second woman and every fourth man is a whore.

I would put Chile on there. The only country in ALL of Latin America where drivers actually let pedestrians cross the road. I am not joking, everywhere else they would actually speed up to try to hit you!

its the bullshit list really.

Most of those countries rely heavily on tourism so of course they are friendly and go out of their way - tips !

and yep a lot of them consider you a walking ATM with their hands out all the time.

Thai people are actually very generous and caring.

I can't begin to yell you the amount of loans I decline due to dodgy fathers not paying child support

Pretty much every Pacific island nation.

i travelled thru vietnam 2yrs ago with my older brother. ho chi minh city was commercialised, a lota hands out 4 cash, but found the further north u went, like hanoi, the friendlier people seemed to be. espec the country people. which amazed me considering aussies fought there like a long time ago.

Ireland & Scotland deserve to be on that list, but I also think Norway should definitely be on there - especially Arctic dwellers

I found people in Osaka very friendly. Kyoto people were really polite and formal, but it seems like their retail people really like to punish themselves for not speaking English judging by all the bowing and how many times they said "sorry" when I couldn't understand what they were saying.

On another note, at least in Sydney, people haven't been friendly since after the 2000 Olympics...

Canada, lived in Vancouver for a couple of years loved it, great people, West coast though they hate the french on the east

Have to agree with Turkey. Friendly bunch the Turks. Hot looking guys too-well some are. Lebanon's pretty friendly, especially if it's not being shelled by Israel (won't get into politics though). . . Malawi? Do ppl actually go there? OK, why not!

I'm not sure but from the people from around the world who travel here I think Kiwi's, Irish, Scottish are the loveliest

Burmese people were amazingly sweet on my recent trip there. I give them the vote. And whoever said Thais consider people walking ATMs - when you smile at someone because you want to sell something to them its called 'good service'. A concept not all in Australia are familiar with....
