Can anyone recommend one that isn't going to fleece me for all my cash?

I have never been and never had a problem with my teeth but as i am getting older i figure its time to start looking after them a little more....but i don't want to walk away with a massive dent in my wallet because EVERYTHING needs to to be done to my teeth when as far as I am concerned they are working fine as is....

some dentists will let you pay the work off, if you have a health care card and DPS the Sydney Dental Hospital do great work.

NIB Dental Care Centre on George St Sydney did me two wisdom tooth extractions for under $200 (and one of them was a surgical extraction!) . I was quoted over $900 elsewhere!

You don't need NIB insurance to use this facility.

What is straight? A line can be straight, or a street, but the human heart, oh, no, it's curved like a road through mountains.

I know this is an old thread, but I just want to rave about the dental service I got at Holdworth House (on Oxford St)... they were a little pricey but my dentist (Dr May) was an awesome chick & gave me a thorough consultation. Very impressed!

But, as all my friends keep asking lately - why isn't dental covered by the government?? Why can we go and see a doctor and bulk bill, but we're not offered the same service with Dentists? Doesn't everyone need healthy teeth?!!

F'ckin joke I say

That would require tax increases..which isn't such a bad thing. We just have leaders (current and former) only interested in winning the next election, not actually doing their job and building the nation.

City Dental on, I think its Macquarie Street. I had one of the scariest days of my life there - I had two wisdom teeth taken out, the dentist was a machine .. did not even take 15 mins and only cost $100, I do have health insurance though...

For the record Cam I went to the dentist that Genkij recommended and he was really good......Dr Paul Nichols has a younger guy that works there who is ex army and he didn't try and sell me a hollywood smile at all - he only wanted to do the work that was needed which was two fillings.....all up i think it I was out of pocket about $200 after health insurance (i have HCF basic type package).....

I've been to 2 dental clinics in Perth, it's Advanced Dental Artistry in Wellington road, Morley and another one in Mosman Park. They're both very good dental clinics. They offer different dental services. They really have very good dentists. Try checking them out!

I rented an apartment from a dentist in the early 80's who used nitrous oxide and simply asked "do you want to feel good or do you want to fly?" He was a wonderful dentist ( I took the flight option every time...)
