We are:
Jessie – 28, integration aide, plays soccer, gay lady (gaydee), loves coffee, camping and double denim. Her only child is a 6 year old kelpie-whippet called Ophelia.
Gem – 27, nursing student working in aged care. Spanish and Portuguese-speaking gym-inclined ladyman who is custody-sharing papa to Handsome Brutus Footscray the tiger-striped staffy blockhead.
You are:
Queer or queer-friendly
Wanting to be part of a house, rather than just rent a room
Wanting somewhere medium-long term
OWLS, immigrants and people with kids, all welcome. We are happy to help people with their English, share meals or not and have your families come to stay.
The Deets:
2 double rooms available in a 4-bedroom beautiful house straddling the border of Footscray and West Footscray. The house is freshly painted with fancy polished floorboards, large modern kitchen and generous communal spaces. It has high ceilings and a big outdoor area with an ugly garden.
The first room is a front room with built in mirrored wardrobes, a big window and security roller-blind.
The second room is bigger and has a fireplace. It was originally part of a massive living/dining area that has been partitioned off with timber in a feat of butch genius.
The house is a 10-15 minute walk to West Footscray station and on the bus line into the city. Parking is a pain in the arse, but we manage. 25 second walk to Sim’s supermarket and 5 mins walk to Barkly village Indian restaurants and yuppie big breakfast joints.
Rent is $444/month, plus bond when you move in. Does not include bills.
Unlimited national/mobile phone calls & high speed ADSL internet available (essential for downloading all six seasons of Xena: Warrior Princess)
The rooms will be available most likely earlier than mid-September so feel free to let us know your situation and we can work something out.
If you are interested or have any questions please email Gem at sqhaird(at)gmail(dot)com and let me know a little bit about yourself.
We will be interviewing SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 1ST.
or an alternative date can be arranged.
