Well, of course this is bullshit! But seriously, get over it. We are a pissy little country that she didn't like last time she was here anyway (who the hell can blame her?!). Why spend the money to drag such a tour here, just to play three or four shows to boring as bats hit Aussie audiences? In some respect, no doubt the family/age aspect plays a role - in that she would feel no pressure or need to go anywhere requiring too much to do so. But even the political and cultural climate here - the fact that nobody gives a stuff about this country when this tour has so clearly been played around global politics and controversy. It would be a whimper to end such an outrageous tour here. I'd love to see her, but I'm a realist.

And as for fag dh's huffing and puffing and not playing her records any more... get a life. Seriously. Like you have any right to huff and puff over this woman?! There are.. you know... actual problems with your world... you're, hello, an oppressed minority with less human righties... and you get upset because MADONNA WON'T TOUR HERE?! Perspective, darlings. This is is fantastic. It was exactly what I thought it would be about. Putting your kids first is the right thing to do & it shows what a great mother she is. When I thought my respect for her could not get any higher, it just did. I hope all those people that slagged her off & called her all those Nasty things are feeling a little bad, including the ( media)& eating a lot of humble pie. It comes down to the economics. Yes, the Aussie dollar is strong. But unlike Lady Gaga or the ridiculously hardworking Pink, Madonna wouldn't do multiple nights in one city. So even though she charges higher ticket prices than other acts, it still wouldn't be worth her while to come to Australia. It's a good reason she's given. That said, I completely lost interest in the new album the moment I heard this leg has been cancel. Pfff....

It seems everyone would respect her more if she just came out and said she couldny be arsed touring australia, rather than just faffing about with pissweak excuses. Its not like ivan milat is going to take her kids if she comes out here, they will be quite safe

Tough titties madonna, its not 1992 anymore. Most major touring artist end up doing multiple shows in 1 city to meet demand when they come here to tour.

I always had reservations after the tour was "planned" to come to Australia. Madonna is a businesswoman other than holding the jobs as a mother and singer/entertainer.

Geographically, Australia is too far from the most far-east country, Japan (the furthest east she ever went), that she would go to. Economically, there are only 22 million Australian spread on an island 20 times bigger than Japan, which has 6 times the population of Australia. Logistically she'd be better just touring Eastern Europe.

Despite the high AUD, she still charges quite exorbitantly in Europe and the US compared to the expected rate for a concert in Aus. So tell me, how would one bring one's tour to Aus when the numbers just wouldn't add up?

Also, no businessman/woman would tell you the real reason they won't wanna do business with you. That's just how it is.

Wrong... I tell people exactly why I'm not doing business with them...

I do not really care if madonna toured to aus or not, and her life is her business, but to me, I would have given the apology immedietly after cancelling the tour to aus not waiting a month after

Besides I would only want to go see gaga again because she loves australia
