you know the answer to that !

you and I both loathe the cold.

Gimme summer anytime. People generally are happier , healthier etc.

I dont go on holidays to any cold destinations. I try to get to northern hemisphere for my holidays in the Jun- Sep period.

Went to the NYE Harbour Party last year... Great view of the fireworks, but queuing for over an hour to ride a ride, and huge lines for drinks. Line up looks good though..

NYE is such a good employer.

Millions are spent to sell alcohol to people.

Millions are spent to clean up the vomit and the mayhem resulting from all that alcohol.

Doesn't sound a like a terribly fun night out - queing up for hours for drinks, rides etc.But you're right about the line-up, does look good.

Yes I have.

The alcohols in the 3 groups— 1. Beer, 2. Wine and 2. Spirits— when taken in large quantities and mixed together turn into poison. The body has to vomit out the poison as quickly as possible. And even when the body has ejected the poison, the body still dry-wretches trying to eject bile from the body.

Of course, you'll tell me that you can buy new chemical combinations to ingest to intoxicate the brain with less physiological symptoms. Maybe.

No I went to a C of E sunday school and they suggested when I was 14 that I go through a ritual that they call 'confirmation'.

My mother told me that Everything in religion can be explained away by Freud. So I didn't bother.

(though I did have a short fling with a failed catholic priest)

I spent NYE 2000 at an all night vigil in St Mary's Cathderal in Perth.

It was a lot more entertaining than being with drunk revellers and watching the sunrise through the stained glass windows was absolutely beautiful.

apparently last year there were !

but I dont have to worry. Year before went through the whole night on energy drinks.

You dont seem to have those bid dance marathons like at the big parties. Everyone dances for a short period then you are outside watching/chatting etc its very social and most start to go home 2-3-4am . None of my friends want to get drugged/drunk into oblivion when you are on holidays etc.
