My first thoughts on Perth...

I'm here for approximately 3 months, i wanna find the scene in Perth, will any SSers help me??

For such a large city, the gay scene is very small I think.

There is The Court, which is such a great place -- quite large, good food, always something going on drag shows, disco &c (the other week there was the "silent disco", interesting experience...)

Then there is Connections nightclub... never been, my partner has and he said he liked it but it was like a trip back to the 80's!

Other than that, there are other bars/pubs in the Highgate area that are "gay friendly" I was told but I never been to them either. And to be honest, even The Court has a very mixed crowd, specially the busy nights so maybe this is the trend here (I have been here just a few months so there you are.)

I hope this does not sound too depressing for you and despite of it I hope you enjoy your time here!

Perth has a Pride festival. This year CHOGM is being held at the same time that Pride is usally on and that means accommodation is booked out and all that shit. I think Pride is being shifted, but I don't know when.

The nightclub and Pub mentioned are fun (Connections and the Court). Haven't been for ages though.

And sorry I didn't get to meet you in Darwin when you were here. I was overseas. Hope you had fun though, and have an equally awesome time in Perth. Despite the isolation, it's a nice place.

I did notice after some research that Connections has LESBIAN MUD WRESTLING on Wednesdays !! I will watch, i may or may not get amongst it

Enjoy Perth...Its a lovely city but the scene is a bit meh A tip when partying is not to stay out until closing time especially if there's a party going on.Unless if you're looking for a fight

So Perth, I'm leaving you.. I've been here for over a month and yet, you still haven't tickled my fancy. The people I've met here are brilliant, you've turned me into a bit of a slut in the best possible way and without you I'd still be a virgin (of sorts)
