I remember singing this Tracy Chapman track an octave lower at a karaoke night after the weekend of the G20 in Melbourne...I was worn out from running about over that weekend, watching my mates being attacked by the riot squad, being swung at with batons. For some wierd reason I managed to see the words on the screen and sing perfectly whilst my eyes welled up with tears...not sure if it was the fact that the song is moving or if it was a part of my reaction to capsicum spray or the remedy I used for my eyes.

I first heard this song near to the time that I went back to England for a few months... I love it but it makes me sad at the same time. If I'm not granted a partner visa I shall never want to listen to it again!

I remember hearing this a few years ago in my mate's car on the way back from Sunbury...we had to drop one of his mates off and I was still tweaked from the evening that was becoming morning when we were driving back...was around summer time and we were heading down one of the freeways and it was kinda warm outside...I cranked the stereo up and stuck my head out the window and lost a contact lense lol...weird morning but a great song...
