yes, it's intense. cheyne67 sent me a copy of 'the laramie project' film in the post not long ago and i watched it and was totally moved... it's scary that people have used this as a vehicle for homophobia, afterall it was such a brutal way for him to die.

the laramie project is still one of the most intensely moving films i have ever seen. nida students did it last year on stage and it was just as good. elton john also write a song about matthew which is on the album songs from the west coast.

Ever since I heard Melissa Etheridge's song "Scarecrow", I have been drawn to this case. Disgusting and horrific, each time I read about it I still cannot believe what he went through. I haven't seen Laramie project yet but definitely intend to, as well as this new doco!!

Maybe I should wait till after this weekend tho... something tells me that MOnday or Tuesday would not be a good day to watch it!

The Laramire Project is an amazing film – Even though it tells the story of one of the most vile acts I’ve ever heard of , its actually quite an uplifting film and I aint ashamed to say that it gets me weeping every time I see it. I think its great that this documentary has been made but no doubt those nutjobs over at the Westboro Baptist church will take it as an opportunity to spew more of their filthy venomous hatred . If you don’t know who these Westboro crew are - Christian did an article on these twisted fucking God Botheres a couple of months ago and there's also a documentary out there about them titled “The Most Hated Family In America” which will leave you cold. The best way to see how evil they are though is to visit their “Perpetual Gospel Memorial to Matthew Shepard” which is revolting and an excellent example of how truly vile these people are
