there's a gold coast gay day?

I really shouldn't be commenting since I'm not technically on the gold coast, being over the border into NSW, no matter what the local property developers would have you believe. Coolangatta is my local airport, if that counts for anything, but really I don't know places in the goldie, and I don't actually go there all that much

Actually Gold Coast Gay Day is but a shadow of it's former self these days, the last decent one was when it used to be at the Pink Elephant in Surfers before they sold it!
It was extremely well put together back then and drew big numbers, not much can be said for it these days, as the people just don't go....

Really? but they got a few thousand to the last one!

I have always had fun but never made it to the ones in surfers...

You know what man, forget what everyone else says, go for it and experience. To be honest never ask a gay guy advice on the internet about what to do. Just google a few things yourself, be wise and enjoy it. Don't read much into what people want to say as they will confuse you. There are many weirdos on here. Your an adult and your wise enough. It's your life and you have the right to do what you want to do, not for anyone else even if in a relationship but yourself only. Yeh ? Go for it man, good on ya and enjoy it

You are not the only one, young Ringo. Here I am at 63, also a straight guy but looking to meet some new people that I may be able to interact with. Later tonight I am tempted to visit The Den at Broadbeach. It will be the first time that I have gone past the inner door. Even now I am not sure if I will be able to take that step or if I do so, feel relaxed on the other side.

drinking kind of excludes non-drinkers

pretty sure we all eat though

heading north...

we could go to Currumbin Rock Pools (live right near it, never been, wtf)

we could hit up Robina for Max Brenners and a movie

BBQ at Burleigh/Broadbeach/Surfers? beach bbq seems pretty simple

that's as far north as i know, but i'd be willing to travel

agreeing with hazy,
and arc: those are all great ideas. since you know the south end better, and I happen to live at the far south end, lets go for something at currumbin or robina. chocolate and a movie sounds like fun, or even just a casual meet-up at a cafe for a first go.
anyone else interested? anyone else like to suggest a date or something more concrete?

Young arc7, provided that time permits and you don't mind an oldie being present I could certainly go a hot chocolate at Robina sometime.
