Default Looking for Room to rent
Again!
Does anyone know someone who is looking for a flatmate at the moment.
my current flatmates (who i moved in with like 3 weeks ago) have decided they want to move to be closer to their jobs, leaving me to look for another place. i'm pretty sure that one of them was giving the real estate 3 weeks notice this morning. Fun!

Can you afford to live alone ? sheer bliss and have been doing it for about 22 years now.

Probably depends if he's prepared to live west of Surry Hills... whatever suburbs are out there...

Relying on housemates suck arse, but city living is expensive on ur own, not to mention most of the places are shoeboxes.

I'm having the same troubles. I moved to Sydney to get out of Adelaide and am living with my uncle. I work really early hours so cant really live too far from work, but cant afford to live on my own at the moment.
I'm going to study to be a chef next year, so thats going to be even tougher.
Rents in this city are over the top.

Is your uncle gay ? or know you're gay ? if so might be best to stick where you are as family usually dont charge normal rent !

am also north shore and there are reasonable areas to live , its only expensive if you live with the water/city views. I moved to Bondi Junction once, lasted 6 months and came running back. Loathed the bus/train to get to work, plus car stolen and broken into. Now I just walk down the hill and get the ferry so door to door is about 25 min
on a very comfortable/relaxing ride. Pay a little more in rent but save on travelling time/stressing out like most of the staff do when their train/bus is cancelled or full so it just went past etc.

Yeah they may throw in complimentary walls for that price.
It is no measure of health- to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

I think you'd be shocked by the rents in Newtown. Just did a quick search of the "to share" section of Domain.com The average rent of the eleven properties listed is $232.50!
