I was given a personality test by Scientologists on a Friday night out with friends. My friends were shitty that I was delaying the drinking by taking the stupid test... so they were pretty vocal about it being a crock of shit. The lady who did my test told me that the test results indicate that my friends are causing me strife and that I should take a complimentary 'cleansing' session in the local Scientology centre. Never took her up on that offer. Who knows where I would be today if I did... haha

I watched the expose they did on 4 Corners a few weeks back - it was quite disturbing.

I think their days maybe numbered, atleast in Australia anyway. If we can practice on Scientology maybe one day we can deal with larger superstitious cults like Christianity and Islam. I am so tired of religious zealots and their poisonous dogma.

Seriously, though, I think religious faith can inspire good people to do enrich the experience of others...I also think that in the gay community it is almost mandatory if you wanna be cool to hate religion. I'm not anti-religion. I'm anti - abuse of power that comes from organized religion...yes. The tenets of all the mono-theistic faiths are cool - treat yourself & others well, give to charity....it's the people who seek to control with religion that stuff up the goodness that stems from spiritual faith, etc....in my opinion.
