I have to tell you I've seen some things in my time but SomeSome Gays on this SameSame site are straight out Gay queer bashers.

Now being straight foward is something - I appreciate, as most of us do - but some believe the need to go further than that, to an extreme level - attack.

Now being the attackee, it worries me little, but I worry for the attacker.

Those that seem to think if it ain't got the word fuck in a shout, or cunt splashed all over it - it's just not communication....example

3/ His life is based on a television show, which to me he has little or no social skills.

So when calling other's homophobic, do a in-house check!

You never know - your undiagnosed homophoblia maybe way thicker than that of SomeSome hetrosexual community members.

It can be a combination of a superiority complex combined with the fact that people think they can say anything they want on the internet and get away with it. From personal experience, I know otherwise.

Once he'd edited out the threat to you. I was more disappointed that he continued to attack you on every other post and sub-forum.

The only redeeming thing I can see is that he did admit he had anger management issues and, my gut feeling says, he is a person who would probably be absolutely fine and respectful to you if he met you in real life. He'd probably be a good person for a chat over a beer.

from what i can see, star1 must have been expecting some sort of response - if not provoking one - considering this has happened before?

while you have a right to freedom of speech, etc, surely some effort could have been made to prevent this from spoiling other people's good time?

He did it twice. He didn't murder anyone, he didn't threaten anyone, he didn't put down anyone. He made a mistake and then repeated it. I'm pretty sure he's never going to do it again.

You have no idea whether or not he DELIBERATELY did it or whether he just screwed up - as we all do from time to time.

how do you know if it was a repeated mistake or deliberate? i never claimed to know, as i said - i just found star1 labelling his post as homophobia-related misleading, and his "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" slightly bonkers.

It's interesting to me that Star1 would post the winner of a competition- upset posters- not apologise, and then try to make it appear it was the other person's fault.

Firstly let me point out (to Guru) that the quote in post #1 was not written by me! Secondly let me point out (to Star1) that said quote is not remotely homophobic. Homophobia is the vilification of an individual or group based on their (gay) sexual orientation. The quote in question does not even make any reference to anybody’s sexual orientation (or draw any inference thereof) thus the premise of your thread is based on a fallacy!


In your post #3 Guru you feign “disappointment” that after editing my original post on the Amazing Race spoiler thread (http://www.samesame.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=16796) I proceeded to “attack him on every other post and sub forum”. Just to clarify for your sake Guru, my statement “Star1 is a fucking idiot. Get a life ya loser...” was actually posted before I edited my original post (as is evidenced by the recorded time of the post). Further, it was posted on 6 spam threads created by Star1 in the News and Current Affairs sub forum- not every other post and sub forum as you incorrectly assert.


Let me be clear Guru that I do not have anger management issues. I know that it is hard to convey tone in written form and you seem to have interpreted my sardonic post literally. The point here is that my temper is no greater than that of any other reasonable person.


Guru, may I also recommend that you change your legal advisor unless it is your intention to have every law student reading your posts rolling around on the floor laughing. I say this because you seem to think you have a viable cause of action in defamation (which you don’t) and also because you have drawn an inference from my original post that it somehow constituted a death threat directed at Star1. Now I can’t remember exactly what I wrote because I edited the post but it was something along the lines of “if I could strangle you I would”. If that statement had to be categorised it may well be considered a “conditional threat” (“if I could” etc...). A conditional threat does not satisfy the requisite element of “immediacy” for it to constitute a death threat. Further, for any statement or action to be considered a death threat, the person making the threat must have reasonable means of fulfilling it. In this forum Star1 is an anonymous member and I have no information as to his identity or location- thus I have no means of carrying out any threat against him. I could have even written on that thread “I will murder Star1 in his sleep for revealing the identity of the Amazing Race winner” and that still would not constitute a death threat.


Now that I have cleared that up I expect you will desist from making any further reference to death threats. You are correct in one regard though- that I am a fantastic person to socialise with, although my drink of choice is spirits, not beer.

I am sorry that the fact I am here and calling you on your conduct in this Forum troubles you so much. You have absolutely no moral or ethical base in your conduct on these Forums.

I am happiest when the Forum is ticking along nicely - which usually includes about 5,000 posts a week by you about you for you to you - and people are conversing, sharing and having fun.

I am unhappiest when people are being bullied and victimised and marginalised and attacked and insulted. And that's the real reason why you don't want me on here - because there is one person at least that will stand up to you and your appalling behaviour.
