Oh you are a dear. Thanks for al the heart-felt sleeping advice. I do all that as you say already. You neglected to mention ear-plugs.
OMG Ive just done 5 night shifts 12hrs . It was not too bad. I have two nights off and then another 5 nights on, then 2 off and then 4 on. Then the show is over . Its getting easier and more relaxing.
Im tempted to buy some wrangler jeans and cowboy shirts like a private school boy

No I will not. I have not bought any show bags. I checked out the art and handicrafts and the carnival plus beef, pigs, goats. Ive experinced X Box and Wii. Ther is NO aquarium display on site! Where is the ABC shop?
Everyday , there has been Leb boys causing trouble - either thefts or fights. They all live close by.
The cowboys staying on site are a bit naughty drinking and being a bit rowdy. A golf cart was stolen and taken on a joy ride around the main area late at nite. Another golf cart was stolen and joy-riden and found the next day somewhere on site.. Someone had a heart attack another a case of food poisoning. A few guards have been assaulted - one woman requiring stitches.
Im just sitting on my ass doing asset-protection in a pavilion full of 'carnie' crap. I do the telegraph Xwords and read novellas. I sense I shouldn't watch TV /DVDs. Some say its OK others say NO, and since I got into trouble at the Shopping Centre for doing so, so I will not . I have a small radio. I have little micro-naps while sitting. I drink too much caffeine - which makes sleep difficult next day. I have also been abusing nicotine tabs. I am now on patches so I need not worrying about self-over-dosing.
Jez, some of the 'carnies' are characters. Some of the stall owners are complete bastards incapable of complying with the terms of their leases. I think they pay about $8k each for the whole Show per stall. I have to open-up and close-down/ vacate the pavilion daily. Some stall owners want to trade past time but they can not. I must compromise.
The RAS is run very efficiently - all the waste is cleaned up and recycled as much as possible. The place gets worked over by an army of cleaners with blow-packs and a fleet of street sweeping trucks. Smaller ride-on vac/sweepers do the insides of buildings - every night. Sparkies, air con people, vendors. Venders, trucks arrive from 5:30- till about 8am. Some contractors have been forging passes.
A Channel 9 crew where outside my position one morning - jez they were total wankers : self-conscious middle-class roadies. I wanted to slap them. Perhaps I was envious?
Some ghastly Asian chef ,that looked like he had sleep in a week, came into our lunch room and sneezed all over my dinner. I made a major scene and threw my dinner in the bin.
Im feeling OK - less tired and better now. a few days ago it was all uphill.
