-No, I'm particularly bad with languages. I'm ok with English though

-Hmm I guess in some things, not so much with others. I have succeeded in my career, starting fresh in new cities/towns, making new friends. I have not succeeded too well in lesbian relationships and diet/exercise.

-I used to be, but I hated making everyone feel like they had to rearrange things (menus etc) on my account when I went to people's houses. So now I eat meat when I'm out, but don't put much in dishes when I cook.
I am, however, a vageterian.

-No, I recently got back in contact with someone that I was missing a lot. Most people that I miss I can already locate (facebook etc), one of the bad things about moving around as much as I have is that I leave a trail of people I care about that I don't get to see as often as I would like to.

In year 5 I made friends with a new kid who came to school from a rural town. His younger sisters name was Zoe and she had brain cancer. After awhile we became really close and used to visit her in hospital all the time. One day when she started getting better they moved away. Last I heard they're somewhere in QLD.

Me too. Uploaded excellent cds from the city library and bought the $20 text that go with them. It's actually not half as hard as some other languages, from what I can see , I just don't have the time to sink my teeth into it properly , is all
It's a shame there aren't classes at the CAE or something, like there often are with French/Italian/German etc. !!
Immersion is always the key, I find. So when I'm done with this term's uni work I'm gonna flip a bunch of dvds to Norse on the the language setting, flood my itunes with language lessons and read until my eyes fall out

OH! Ha. No , that's it! That's the one I'm using! The OTHER one had clouds..and was awful. Luckily had borrowed not bought that one, from a Norwegian friend (who would be useful, had he not gone home just before I decided to learn ) .

The funny thing about this book is the couple they've used as an example for learning the language. They meet each other in a cafe and then seem to be hanging out more and more together. Then you realise they've become a couple when the guy starts saying that he wishes he could spend all of his time with her and she's like 'I like spending time with you, but not ALL my time'.

I was flicking through later chapters and noticed a dialogue page where they appeared to be having a fight and now part of me wants to continue learning just so I can find out why they were fighting and if they break up or not.
