Default Bank ATMs
Has anyone had a problem with them?

I always count each withdrawal. Then I keep each little paper receipt and then I cross-reference them with my online statement.

Should I?

yes, you should. and not just ATMs, but every transaction. I've had a couple of errors on my statement over the past 20 years, and been able to claim refunds from the bank.

I just log onto netbank and look at the recent transactions.
I don't bother saving the paper slips.

I am appalled by ATM's.

People piss on them.
It is no measure of health- to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

Not yet, but I'm a bit of Waste-not-want-not/Methodist/Boy scout/OCD type.

I've certainly noticed that sales assistants no longer count out the change when they place it in your hand.

And I no longer go to two local shops who've slipped me foreign coins or who miscalculate the change in their heads.

Okay, ATM's have what is called atransaction register physically inside the machine. If you are short changed it will def be recorded and you can get you money back after an audit is done on the ATM which is completed daily.
ATM are more reliable to give you correct money, more so then actually going into a branch.

Thanks Anthony. This register counts each note?
It's not likely that the polymer notes can stick to each other?

I count back notes and circle the amount on the receipt if you take cash out, but customers get pissy now if you take too long handling their change.

Myer had a ridiculous Initial Public Offering of their shares 2 years ago and they peppered the Prospectus with photos of models instead of substantial business statistics. They even offered MyerOne members special "priority" to invest. Such gimmick only enriched the foreign private equity investors who ran away with the money to some tax haven islands. The shares traded from $3.88 to only $2.86 months later, which is a massive drop in shares. Thankfully I did not buy. Caution to investors: if the Prospectus has more photos than text, don't buy!
