So yes, its closing, hopefully it won't be as packed as the market was... (I kind of don't think it'll be that bad).

It is drag show night, but then its also the official final night. Tomorrow night is too soon to organise for... unfortunately, i'm not good at last minute organising =(

So anyone up for it?!?!?

P.S - GoodFella, I know you really want to goto GH for boylesque, don't worry, I've kept that jotted down in my mind lol, I figure since this is a final event and boylesque is on every friday night that we could do that another time. Of course unless GH decides to close its doors all of a sudden.... >.>

I'm wondering what time we should make it there lol.... after what happened at the market... im a little concerned about timing... don't know how many people to expect to turn up to this event... at least with the market I knew it'd be overly packed -.-''' do we get there before 10? (free entry) or after? keeping in mind this place closes at 3 unlike the usual places we goto...

Is anyone up for dinner prior to this ?? As we all know, I'm the worst when it comes to choosing a restaurant... TGIF i'm using as a 'no other suggestions' choice... I refuse to goto Hutong after that fish dish ernesto chose lol... still makes me feel sick whenever i think about it....

I just had a stroke of brilliance.... but it depends on certain people coming to tmrw.... lol I shall share the idea (to a degree) when i've contacted the necessary people for it to work... BUT I hope most of you end up coming!!! even if its just for dinner!!!!!

Ok, so the plan so far is... dinner at 6.30pm @ TGIF along chapel st, then hopefully we'll be done by 8.30 (this is taking into account that people may be a bit late or the food will take ages to arrive...) then we'll walk to xchange on the assumption its doors open at 9pm... though i am a little confused whether the place actually opens at 9 or 10... but at least the first hr i believe is free entry....

Does that sound like a plan to everyone?

There has been speculation for months, now the Xchange has officially announced it will also close it's doors.

For 25 Years the Xchange has served Gay Melbourne but as times have changed this is one X...change to many for the old girl.

It was all fantastic until it came to trying to get a cab home... i seriously took an hr and a half to get home.... so much to rant about when it comes to taxi's and night-rider... =@

I must say, it was a bit sad to see the old xChange go. That last drag show really brought up some good emotions and memories.

Yeh, last night was definitely one of the best nights I've had out!! nice music and a good mix of chatting, clubbing and watching shows. I guess I will only ever have the one experience from Xchange and I'm glad it was a positive one.

The last show was amazing too! Especially when you saw the crowd and the masses cheering and people crying... awww started to make me tear up a bit even though I had never been there before! But glad to have been part of it! They did one last group performance after the last show at 3am, now that was both joyous and sad.

Ah wellz, lets just hope these places stop closing down because I don't wanna be spending the many years ahead at the one club... -.-'''

Anyway, Can't wait for Friday!! What a way to start my 1 week of annual leave! =D

man stupid night riders... 2 buses just went right past me!!!!!! the first one fair enough because I was talking to the taxi driver who said he'd drive me to the taxi rank but couldnt take me home cos of a booking... i said it was ok cos i saw the night rider and tried to hail it and it went by.... the second one just plucked my final patience straw lol. never relying on nightrider again unless i'm in the city already... -.-''' as for taxi's... one guy pee'd me off cos he wouldnt take me home cos of the location.... =@ i was like "..." yeh, finally managed to hail a taxi at chapel st taxi rank after 15mins...

(end rant)

Yeh, my phone was dying (9% battery) but I managed to kind of record the last 3am performance. It was quite the emotional send off.

As for annual leave, it'll just be the partying on the Friday and Saturday movie night? o.O the rest is me cooking up a storm of chocolate desserts hahahaha managed to buy a book yesterday at myer =) lots of simple chocolate desserts... mmm

Call me biased, as my line of work involves some direct involvement with the Nightrider buses you speak off.....but I need to ask one question. Actually..make that two.

1. Were you at the proper Nightrider Bus Stop when the second bus passed you?

2. If the answer to Question 1 was Yes, was the bus full?
