I agree. Women are more likely to move intogether and nest sooner than male counterparts and are more likely to get engaged sooner.

I know Im guilty of that but I wouldn't change it !!

I'm not surprised. At least the numbers are pretty solid on either side.

We have to believe in free will, there's no other choice.

Say, have you considered getting a self righteous preacher who nonetheless supports gay marriage as a celebrant for this wedding? (Or a funeral, as the case may be?)

Just curiously, how many lesbian relationships do you all know of, that have lasted 10 years plus?
What about gay men?
Transgender?

Of all of those, I know 9 who are still going strong.

Hmm the lack of reply is a little disconcerting Dash...is it because no one knows many?
I don't know any, I don't think...but other than my parents and a few of their friends I don't think I know many straight couples that have been either.

Before I respond to that, I'll have to take an extra-strength vitamin duh.

I know a gay guy couple who were together for 15 years. They recently broke up and went seperate ways. One used to be my best friend and business partner, the other one I see more often and we are closer now.

I'm sure I have some lesbian friends who have been together for 10 years. Jac and Cyn have been together for ages, and Caz & Sandy longer than 10 years, I'm sure. Sue and her partner (can't recall her name) have two kids together and have been in a relationship for as long as I can remember. I'm going to house sit for them in a couple of weeks

Then there's Stephen and Fec who have been together for aaaaaages. I met them when I was 21 and they were a couple then. It's been 16 years since I first met those guys, so I'm guessing maybe 20 years?

There is hope for some of us!
