Default Gay relationships on tv
With Neighbours introducing a gay relationship, what about Home and Away, introducing a relationship between, Romeo, Xavier and Dexter, 3 of the hottest studs on tv, what does everyone else think? If only it wasnt just a dream.

Kurt is a terrible role model... Plus that relationship in real life wouldn't get past their teens

Mervotron I used to think Kurt wasn't a good representation of gay men in the media. Yet I have to say my opinion has change and the character Kurt is a good role model for a minority of gay guys who are like him, and there are many out there. Glee is showing visibility and acceptance of his character's instead of stereotypical humour for cheap laughs, ridicule and exclusion like what most media has portrayed a character like Kurt in the past.

Just remember the characters on Glee are still in their teens and like many romantic teen couple portrayals in the media, very few would continue long term in real life.

I definetly agree, I remember first watching this show early last year. I was very shocked to see a gay charecter that wasn't portrayed as someone to laugh at, kurt is different he is my role model. to see someone who has overcome the fear of careing about wat people think of him, thats why I love glee so much to watch kurt and blains relationship, and to gork at blaine

Glee has certainly upped the ante in it's stoylines, from gay relationships, homophobia, and acceptance, also for it's (suprising) ever expanding gay and bisexual characters. Which is a huge diffrence to it's first season which had Kurt all alone, now their five gay and bisexual characters in the series, times have changed.

i'm glad i'm not the only one thinking the same things!

romeo is my favourite though. i don't like the fact that they married him off so quickly. i much preferred him when he was down and out all the time.

xavier is such a wooden actor but he sure is pretty.

dexter isn't pretty but he is by far the best actor on that show at the moment. it's interesting how the other actors seem to be lifting their game lately, particularly in the comedy stakes. i think it all because of Dexter being so good.

The writers are injecting more comedy scenes into the show now.

This seems to have come about because when the Dexter character arrived back on the show (played by a different actor) the actor seemed to make serious lines seem funny. Even when the scene wasn't about him, he seemed to steal the scene.

The writers then played up the comedy for his character (like his hilarious video blogs) and this now seems to be spreading to other characters as well. Though not all the actors are able to pull it off as well as Dexter can. His sister on the show (who I thnk is Hugo weaving daughter) is particularly bad at this .... Though I may just not like her because she marked my Romeo

I can only watch this show as long as one scene per time. And that isn't very long because the scriptwriters ensure each scene lasts no longer than 90 seconds.

But I suppose I should give it a go if you recommend it. It's well photographed compared to the studio-bound 'Neighbours'
