About time! The quicker laws are changed to recognised ISGD people the better.

good to see some progress--maybe labour's compensating for their inaction on marriage inequality? on the vid : hooray for nepal! negus was being flippant in his the "he"/"she" remark at the end, but it shows the current inadequacy of the english language to avoid the need to specify gender in discussing people. on legal documents, why is it considered necessary to specify gender at all anyway?

what if i wanted to catch a plane in women's clothing for instance, with "male" rather than "X" on my passport? it's an unnecessary bureacratic complication.

It's a way to help identify people and potential fraudsters (and there's lots of them according to those 'Border Security TV shows). It was more useful back in the days when there were strict gender rules in clothing.

Can one have both male and female passports, depending on one's mood and wardrobe? Can one also have several passports with different citizenships too? Will travellers have to prove their genders by strip-search?

The world could be going mad....

And just try getting through most countries on such a passport. Be prepared for some massive frisking and questioning time. Also in a lot of countries not being gender specific could get you jail time. Just try transiting Dubai on your way to Europe and I can guarantee you will not be getting your connecting flight.

Oh, good to see.
Intersexed, gender-neutral, trans-gendered people....
A step in the right direction (however not in the direction of the United Arab Emerates).
