I don't enjoy going out to clubs/bars anymore. I get bored and it's expensive. The only reason I still go is to see my friends.

I don't like drinking alcohol that much, glass of wine at home with friends - yes, but half a bottle of bourbon on a night out - no. I get too hungover no matter what I do and I lose a whole day recovering.

I don't like the music at clubs, it's just not my deal. I'd much rather dance to 80/90's pop or better yet not dance at all and listen to pub rock!

I'm not sure when I got so old!

I don't like going to the larger lesbian or all-girl events. I find the behaviour of some people really awful and I hate the fashion, the attitudes are foul, and the ageism makes it hard to meet people and have a decent chat. Plus, it's pretentious and boring. Yawn. I'd much rather go to a few art galleries and check out small, boutique bars and coffee shops than that kind of thing. Or just meet friends for dinner somewhere if I need a social fix.

I must be getting old too...

I went down to Sydney on Friday and considered asking to meet up with a few of the Sydney girls. Then I realised I didn't have the energy to meet new people and so chickened out.

Here's a confession: the first time I met MM & Maggie, I was really nervous!

Nope couldn't tell…Mostly because I was feeling pretty well the same and was too focused on trying not to show it! Guess we're all like that a little bit

Yep Melbourne is similar, I think anyways. But I am super duper un cool and totally not trendy or anything like that so it may be why I see it that way.

I was a bit nervous too, but I had Nick with me so it made it easier. He is always dancing in a devil suit on my shoulder encouraging me to be a more upfront and outgoing person. Pushing me out of my comfort zone. He is a wonderful friend like that.

But KR that wasn't the first time we met! You came to the dinner that Carmen, Teapot and I came to a couple of months earlier

Wait, three questions. These will have to wait until I have a laptop in front of me. Damnit. iPhones help me spell well (kinda) but not type

My confession:

I am really terrible at undoing bra's, in fact I have no skills whatsoever, you can ask anyone whose bra I've tried to remove.

And to add to my falling lesbian cred...

I have only seen the first 3 seasons of L Word.

lol, this made me laugh. Not at you but because I am useless at undoing bras and I've never seen a single episode of the L word.

I am so glad to hear I'm not alone. The bra thing just needs more practice, for both of us!

It is. But, several (read many) share houses later and a few decades as well means it was lost somewhere in my travels.

Yes, you are right. But... I had a lot on my mind and don't really consider it meeting people properly if you have a brief conversation. If you know what I mean?

You were up the other end of the table so we didn't really get a chance to chat. Same as Alien, I really wish I had a chance to talk to her and fangirl over anime
