iv seen it heaps here in sydney - ppl left for dead after an od or a high speed car crash

friends and siblings (and other family members) who appear loyal and for th most part outwardly exhibit those traits, but, at th end of th day, if ur an addict, its all about self-centred self preservation at all costs

its just how it is

and th flip side of that same coin is that most addicts hate and despise themselves for that behaviour which they find so difficult to let go of - thats th paradox. of course many find it difficult to acknowledge that and keep it buried under a facade of 'fuck it - i dont care' which really is just a coping mechanism, and (unfortunately) entrenches their own alienation from th mainstream population
