Default The big election issues
The pre-polling is definitely showing a trend after a long campaign which ABC Radio describes as "in the American 'dirty tricks style".

What do think the big issues are?

—'all pollies should be turfed-out after 15 years in the trough'?

—'Anna lied to us'?

—'the environmental dangers of Coal seam gas and the reef destruction at Gladstone Harbour'?

The diagram below from The Courier Mail claims to show the main issues. Do you think Bob Katter and the others using us as a 'political football' in his dirty tricks campaign was a big issue for all Queenslanders?

Am A Blight vs. Cancer "Tunnel Vision" Newman.

You know we've hit a rough patch when Katter's Party is looking alright.

I still reckon we've been used as a political football in the big parties' campaigning.

The swing away from Anna Bligh is bigger than the swing against Kristina Keneally down in NSW.

Q: What's the difference between a Tarago and the ALP?
A: A Tarago has more seats.

Will they have enough seats to form an effective opposition? I'm using the word effective advisedly -_-

Imagine it this scene were repeated nationally? Interesting

I didn't see Newman mention anything about gay issues in his victory speech nor Bligh mention same-sex parenting in her speech acknowledging defeat.

Queensland is the fourth state in four years to dismiss a Labor government. Those states contain 87 per cent of Australia's population. And the federal Labor government lost its majority in the same span. Could there be a message? —Peter Hartcher

'Labor has died from below. There are no Labor branches left in most of the towns of Australia.'— Rodney Cavalier

'…the blokes here just don't like women - especially women in power … the men of Queensland are just very negative towards women'—Bill Ludwig
