Default Would you choose Organic?
I was wondering if you had the choice and knew how more about why Organic is so good would you buy those products instead?

I probably wouldn't because of the cost! If they costed similar to, or less then, non organic products i would get them.

Yeah I'm a big organic consumer - it costs a bit more, but after reading books like the Ethics of What We Eat by Peter Singer and a few other similar ones I became quite conscious about what I put into my body.

The only issue I have is the labelling of "organic" on some products and how it really varies across producers.

Oh yeah, and organic tastes so much better! Case in point: this morning I made scrambled eggs with Organic/Biodynamic eggs from Mulloon Creek Natural Farm, and my god, they were just so fresh and beautiful. I loves me organic food.

Me too. I try to get all organic meat. It just tastes so different. Yeah its more expensive but then I think you just eat a bit less and enjoy what you do have rather than piling all the meat into your dinner every night.

I got given that book for my birthday so will have to try and read it very soon.

Be warned: you will never ever look at food the same way again, it's brilliant.

So do you go for organic boys too, Tim? And if so, do they taste better?

I love organic food........my mother lives on a farm in Goulburn and grows all her own veg and I swear the food mum grows is like 1000% more tastier then the shit Woollies put out for sale.
The only problem with organic food is that is doesn't last long i.e. shelf life. So I find that I have to regually shop for organic food.

So trendy to go and eat all organic foods, yet we pump our bodies with drugs more toxic then pesticides etc.

Mr J, depending on where you go, it could be double the price - I'm talking fresh fruit and veg here.. but what's an extra $20 a week, if that $20 is eradicating pesticides, preservatives and other nasties sprayed onto the food and soon to be in your body!

Agree Ruffnut, how ironic that we can be so meticulous about organic food but some are happy to shove a little round thing in their mouth or a couple of mills of something that closely resembles draino!
