Default Victorian AIDS Council/Gay Men's Health Centre: Talk Asian

Talk Asian
Talk Asian is a bimonthly workshop organized by the Victorian AIDS Council/Gay Men's Health Centre for gay Asian men and other same-sex attracted men of Asian backgrounds.

We offer a safe, welcoming and confidential environment for you to meet other guys and discuss issues that are relevant to us, such as sexual identity, coming out, homophobia, racism, sex, sexual health, sexual racism and the gay community.

The next Talk Asian session will be held on:

Thursday, 26 April 2012 (after ANZAC day holiday)
7 – 9 pm
VAC/GMHC, 6 Claremont St, South Yarra

Topic:
Self and Self Esteem

“What is self esteem?”
“How to maintain a healthy self-esteem?”
“How do race and sexuality influence our self-esteem?”

This month, we will discuss topics relating to self-esteem. We will talk about various factors that can affect our self-esteem, and explore strategies that can be used to maintain a healthy self-esteem.

To register your interest, please e-mail gap@vicaids.asn.au or call Budi on 9865 6700.

HIV or AIDS for gay men's in Asia are really increase coz they are not fully aware of HIV. Education and counseling would be much appropriate to let them know that they are taken care of or they have someone to lean on when they need someone to talk to. Also shows that they aren't alone on fight AIDS/HIV.

Hopefully you could roam around Asia to send the message of they aren't alone on this advocacy.
