No I can't. And you're certainly one of the people I was referring to in the comment of mine you quoted.

From your posts it seems that SameSame provides you with an outreach to other GLBTIQ folk in a non-sexual context. So in fact SameSame provides you with a much needed community resource.

Then why didnt you use those words, instead of being so fucking insensitive with terms like living dead, senior and lonely (your fucking presumption again).

Sometimes you should try engaging your fucking brain before your fingers start typing. Saddest fucking thing is your dont even acknowledge that your actually insulting others.

Easy out too, abdicate all responsibility to assburgers, all care no responsibilty.

Yup, it's totally separate from Mardi Gras. xx

I think it's also because most other major gay communities around the world have their major annual Pride celebrations around now to mark the anniversary of Stonewall and during the Northern summer. Mardi Gras was originally on or around the anniversary of Stonewall too, but I suppose as it developed into more of a celebration and party rather than a protest march they figured it was better to have it summer than the middle of winter.

I 'spose it also differentiated Mardi Gras from Pride and allowed the circuit party set to come to Mardi Gras without it interupting their summer or Pride celebrations.

Yes, I found one of my old posters and went to the Pride History Group page to confirm the dates.

The Gay Solidarity Group ran the first three Mardi Gras' to coincide with Stonewall Week in June along with a 'Summer Offensive' of rallies in summer. But in September 1980 it decided to switch them with the Mardi Gras to summer and a smaller Stonewall Week in June.

'Living dead' was a reference to your pal 'Dr Dave and his three students'. As for senior and lonely, yes there are both senior GLBTIQ people and lonely people (of all demographics) where SameSame is a much needed social connection. Also there are people on SameSame, despite what they say clearly do come across as being lonely.

As for me being insulting to others, that's a matter of personal interpretation. You on many occasions are insultive and are offensive and dismissing of those you don't like. So I think it's a bit rich you take offence to what I write, I suppose it's because you don't like me, that your offended. If someone else you like wrote the same thing it would be water off a croc's back.

Also I don't use Aspergers as an excuse, in fact I don't define myself by the diagnosis. There are many people on the Autistic spectrum on SameSame and your use of the term 'Assburgers' can be considered to be insultive to them.

Sorry this took FOREVER to arrange. Should be cool though. Arrive 6:30-7:30pm for free drinks and nibbles to get us started. I'm promoting this on Facebook and Twitter too, so we should get a good turnout with lots of new people.
