Are new people welcomed? I have never been to samesame meet up before.

When I was studying at UNSW, the Gay Office is a shit, I went there with a good faith, people mostly ignore new guys. So when I went there, regulars talk to regulars with lots of jargon , I sit there try to be part of it,,,,,,,,but eventually I just watch
So I never go there again. Maybe I am not good at being part of a group of new people

Will anyone be kind enough to tell me what does samesame meet up looks like?

(I am very lonely since my boyfriend left me and gone overseas)

I have never been to a SameSame meet up before but I know they are a very welcoming bunch and new people are of course welcome!
I even convinced a SameSamer friend to come along so I would at least have someone there to make me feel comfortable early on.

If I can drag my arse to the city for an event like this to meet new people, surely anyone can!
