What's the saying "When you choose the actions you choose the consequences"
There is no excuse to have unprotected sex with someone you've known for any period of time if they've been engaging in sex regularly with other people. Even those you trust, having contracted HIV will go through a 'window' period when they're highly infectious & maybe completely unaware of their underlying condition!

Hi Kaleb,

I recognize and acknowledge that fully and whole heatedly now, though at the time when I was falling for this new guy on the rebound of 6 months of pretty shit experiences, I wasn't taking as much care as I should have been.

Like I hope I've conveyed, the message is as much to say, Hey, I was lucky, it doesn't mean you will be... so be safe, no mater what.

As far as I know the legal case didn't go to court for whatever circumstances, it wasn't me who filed it, it was the friend that told me so I don't have any more details, but the guy did get himself into counselling to start dealing with his own status at least.
