NATE JAMES AS HERD ON UNDERGROUND AND SWITCH 1197AM

Born in Brisbane, Australia as an 80’s child, at an early age Nate James started his music career on the piano, winning many competitions at a young age. While living in New York he discovered the club music scene after singing in a Club competition as a means to scrape together money.

After winning the competition and rediscovering his music passion he had lost during his school days, Nate James returned home to Australia to continue his music. With early influences by Queen and Michael Jackson and then later in life by Ministry of sound, Rogue Traders and Basement Jaxx, and under the guidance of Stuart Stuart, whose credits include bands such as ‘The Veronicas’ and the ‘Small Mercies’ Nate James burst onto the scene with his Electro Rock/pop beats.

In the few months since releasing his E.P including the songs, ‘Another One’ ‘Red Light’ and ‘Play It’ the support for Nate James has steadily increased, with the song ‘Walk like coming 7th in the Switch 1197 new years eve countdown alongside other artist such as Freddie Le Grand, Groove Amarda and Sneaky Sound System. Nate James’s ‘Another One’ also reached number 63 in the top 100 on the Triple J unearthed artist charts. Nate James is also profiled as the Feature Artist on the clothing retailer “City Beach” Myspace.


DJ JONNY G(ELECTRO PUNK SET )

Jonny G, Dj / Promoter, is a man with some history and can usually be found rubbing shoulders with the biggest artists in dance music, including The Prodigy, Groove Armada, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Grand Master Flash, Kosheen, Chk Chk Chk and Peaches just to name a few. Not only does he posses an encyclopaedic knowledge of the history of dance music, but relishes living right on the edge of contemporary alternative culture, via the dance floor. His long standing club residencies are a testament to his salacious and anarchic Djing style. His incomparable experience has not only established him as the ‘Dj’s Dj’ but has made him one of the most sought after talents in South East Queensland. You may have heard Jonny doing what he loves to do best at this years ‘Big Day Out’ festival when he unleashed his personal brand of Indie-Electronica, being just one of the styles which has positioned him among Australia’s few truly original Dj icons.
