What does it mean to you? Why do you feel you fit into the Q&A?

For me it means an awesome night they used to have down at the Builders Arms in melbourne, but unfortunately someone left the cake out in the rain and I'll never have that recipe again!

i never got to make it to the Q&A at the builders arms..

i think it was on a weeknight and i had to travel from Franger to get there..

Queer and Alternate nights have changed a fair bit, they now seem to cater for more of the fetish and dance crowd.. and while there is nothing wrong with that, i have a bit of a yearning for the old days...

this is something I have been thinking about a bit lately, so much so that I jotted some notes down and wondered how feesible it would be to take over DCM's here in sydney with a Q & A venue

i've only run one nighters so i cannot comment.. you would need a serious team of people me thinks to keep it running smoothly...

sounds like there is a need for something in sydney tho...

Aye, the good old days....I used to love Q+A back in the day...then someone decided it was the place for skinny little boys to go listen to Garbage remixing Kylie and make all the actual alternative people there feel uncomfortable being there...blahh...very disappointing what happened to it, and the thing they're doing at Barry's now is just insulting...

I guess to answer the original question, I think it just means not being a cookie cutter gay ghetto boy or girl, and being legitimately interested in and open to new stuff....some of my taste in music is atrociously cheesy, but I also love industrial and punk and stuff, and there's not really anywhere in the gay scene that indulges that....
