Hi all,

Josh here, just turned 29 last week, and have lived in Brissy for about 12 months now.

I moved to Brissy from the Gold Coast, before that I was living in Maitland near Newcastle (in the Hunter Valley for you kids playin at home) And Before Maitland I was living on the Gold Coast and Before that I was living in Melbourne, and Before that I was living on the Gold Coast and Before that I grew up in a little country town in western Qld (clearly trying my hardest to stay out of the Gold Coast..lol).

Loving Brisbane, its a really great City.. but I am like a lot of others and dont have a great deal of contact in the Gay world, apart from a mild obsession with checking if my future husband has messaged me on Grindr.... (and no I haven't met him, nor has he messaged me yet...I should totally dump his ass...) I would really like to be more involved in the community, be a part of something bigger than myself as they say And by being more involved in the community I don't mean going to the local Gay bar n getting some local ass, lets face it, chances are slim anyway ! lol (what chubby guys get ass ?? ha ha ha )

Only been out a few times here, I think I have gotten past the clubbing stage, but I am a pretty shy guy in general.... once you got to know me though you would laugh at the fact that I posted that (insert flash backs to wild drunken karaoke nights here).

Have seen there is some social groups here but have never been, really should just pluck up some courage to go, but am always concerned that they are clicky groups and I would feel awkward...

I work in retail, live in Red Hill and yeah...

Sooooo anywho not sure what else I am supposed to write in here, so I will leave it at that before I embarrass myself.

Please note the June meetup thread in the Brisbane forum Josh. We meet in New Farm Park down near the powerhouse on the riverbank from about 1pm. Its basically just a picnic get together and a chance to meet new people.

Hi Everyone. I had the chance to meet some of you today at John and Mark's place in Ipswich. Simon and I really enjoyed the event. For those of you who we didn't meet today, Simon and I back in 2005 began a group formerly called GLISS, gay and lesbian ipswich social society and left the group in 2008 when we moved to Sinnamon Park in Brisbane. Just heard about Same Same today, and we thought we'd give it a go to say hello and be able to meet new friends. We hope that we will get to meet more of you in person soon.

It was so good to see the both of you again! What a wonderful day to catch up again! We had our 18th Anniversary.,...met lots of new people and had a great day. Flounder brought some incredible delicacies and people brought taste sensations! Berries in champagne jelly....yummo! Salads and lots of protein altenatives....even Sean had a plethora of flavours to decide from!

So, I'm turning 17 this year in Queensland, and have never actually told anyone about my preferences (yay for internet anonymity!), but, being home-schooled for most of my life, it's rather difficult to make new friends. So I figured here would be as good a place as any!
I'm rather nerdy and enjoy video games, anime, and of course, Doctor Who (who doesn't like the Doctor?) and am aspiring to become a writer. Will hopefully be doing a Writing, Editing and Publishing course for uni when I can apply. My nerdiness leads me to attend events like Supanova and such! Cosplayer here.
So, yeah, hope we can eventually become friends!

Ah hey everyone, I made a profile on here but never used it until tonight!

I've been in Melbourne for the past 18 months studying Fine Arts at uni. I had to head back here to Brisbane for a bit and have been here for the last couple of months. I want to head back to Melbourne and complete my degree sometime in the near future, but until I do it would be nice to make some new friends and meet new people.

I like doing artistically creative things like drawing, painting and digital arts (and hoping I can make it as a full-time artist) I also do a lot of geeky things like play video games (would be nice to have a gaming buddy!) Also like going out into the arts scene to gallery openings and art shows and such. Though I'm out in the Redlands at the moment so it makes it hard for me to get anywhere as I don't drive lol

Anyway hello and hope to make new friends while I'm here.
