I love Big Gay Day! Who's going this year?

I'm so excited that I might fly up just for the occasion!!!

I am so there! GayDay is the best party in Brisbane!
Has anyone heard who might be playing this year?

Definitely going to this! No details have been released other than that the finals of Mr Gay Qld will be held.

I never miss it - it's Brisbane's best daytime party!
Although I did miss it last year because Kelly Clarkson/Mandy Moore/Sean Kingston had their concert in Brissy the exact same night

my electronic act has applied.. dunno if we will get a slot..

its all very hush hush atm.. and its not very far away..

I've heard that they've got someone big but have been banned from releasing the name for a while!

I give up trying to get on this event.. 3 years str8 been trying

should be so fun... i always use this as my little carry on after a massive MG week.. I would say recovery but it hardly is.,

love the fluffy after this too!!

Omg I'd LOVE to see you perform there! Have you tried emailing them? admin@thewickham.com.au - I read they were still open for performers in the last qnews i'm pretty sure!

I've never been... this year will have to be my debut

its heaps of fun, although always VERY crowded..

this can be good ( if you like squeezing past hot men ) or bad ( if your Demophoic )

It is always WAAAAYYYY to crowded and i love a crowd but there is never enough room to walk.. it s a terribly designed space but they are restricted as it is a street. Great fun though

I am actually a little demophobic... but have found it really depends on the crowd. Left the last two mardi gra parades early because I felt like I was trapped. But down the front at Hear and Now festival I was fine, because I knew that there was space behind the crowd of writhing sweaty hot men. So is there any clear space at all? Or at the very least easy access to Red Bull and Vodka? This combination may have also played a factor at the festival

Yes good access to red bull and vodka. They have a very handy outdoor bar which is always easy to get a drink at.

Hope they have the grand stands again this year! They were a great touch

I agree was great to have an audiene when u thought u were going off, great to have a seat when too trashed (which were seriously missing year prior), great to dance on when really going off.

A very diverse range of acts with something for everyone. Not sure who the DJs are but have been told there is one from Sydney and one from Melbourne joining up with the best of Brisbane's gay and lesbian DJs. Should be a lot of fun.

i have monday off after justb returning to work from mardi gras on the thursday prior. i wish they had this event not a week after.

I'll second that. I think that the mondays after mardi gras and big gay day should be national homosexual public holidays.

Unfair that we have to take a days holiday after NSW and QLD's "gay christmas"
