Anyone seen this movie, "Querelle"? Looks totally retro-fabulous!

Its based on the apparently-famous Jean Genet story (I have never read it) about gay sailors. Rock on! But none of the download torrents I have tried is working. Has anyone seen it? Is it as good as it looks? Should I persevere?

I love those square-cut chesty singlets....

Its a fabulous movie - quite old now. The lead actor was one of the first straight (although some say he was bisexual) actors to get HIV/AIDS.
Drag Queens are like oil paintings - sometimes you gotta stand way back to get the full effect.

mmmmmmmmm, yeah Querelle is such a hot movie. How's that scene where the big black guy screws querelle???

They shot the whole thing on a sound stage, and it's quite a trip. look out for the phallic shaped wharf poles.

I've got the book at home, but every time I pick it up I put it straight down again. It's an odyssey that I'm not yet ready to embark upon.
