A bisexual Brisbane mother-of-three has been sentenced to prison after a jury found her guilty of stabbing her lesbian lover in the eye with a kitchen knife.

The only things that happen in Brisbane on the gay scene are bashings at The Wickham & stabbings like this one....oh, dear. What's next, Hazy? Beat sex arrests at Chermside shopping mall? LOL

the thing that shits me with stories like this is that all the details are never aired. they could of been breaking up for all we know .. no excuse to stab anyone. what a great example to the kids .. idiots.

Chermside shopping center is one big beat.. lol.. :) .. but seriously, there has been lots of other local brisbane news over the months.. i think these two stand out because of the violence..

Violence in Brisbane is generally reported more prominently in all media due to the fact that it doesn't happen all that often. Unlike Sydney where it is "just another stabbing", here it is actual news that someone has managed to put down their XXXX bitter long enough to pick up a knife!

Queer events in Brisbane actually get quite good coverage in the mainstream media, whether it be plays, the Film Festival or Pride. I often see profile pieces in street press before I see it here or in any other gay news.

And yes Chermside is a great place to cruise
