Men arrested for sex on gaycruise

Two men arrested by Dominican authorities for having sex on a gay cruise could face a hefty fine or even six months’ jail.

The Atlantis Cruises ship they were on was docked in Dominica, in the Caribbean where sex between men in illegal.

Police boarded the ship and arrested the men on suspicion of indecent exposure and ‘buggery’, the AP reports.

The men were apparently seen having sex on the ship by someone at the dock.

The ship, which is carrying around 2,000 passengers, had to depart without the pair as they were held by police for a court appearance this morning.

Local media Dominican News Online are reporting that those around the port seem disturbed by the “immoral behaviour” of the ship’s passengers.

One hair braider said she was “mentally disturbed, first time I am seeing that in my life.”

My Question is, Why was a gay cruise ship docked there in the first place? Pretty stupid thing to do, take a ship full of gays to a place where having gay sex is illegal, WTF. Sounds to me that those disturbed were only disturbed because they could not join in, if you don't like it don't stand there watch. Now where is this ship? lol

Well, if they were seen from the dock, they were clearly doing it on deck to challenge the authorities, so they can't really complain that they were arrested. I'm sure they were aware it was illegal. They could have gone below decks, and there wouldn't have been an issue.

Yes, we should make sure that the delicate sensibilities of our hair braiding community are well protected.

I seriously am wondering why a gay cruise ship would dock in a country that forbids sex between same sex's.

Had plans to visit there in November. Reservations are cancelled and rebooked in the Bahamas. I will not even set foot on that island again until they rethink their laws and attitudes toward LGBT travelers. We spend lots of money but the DR won't see a dime of it till then.

Having to change the travel arrangements because we won't spend our money in a country with a hateful attitude and laws. If it was a straight couple that were seen they wouldn't have batted an eye.

Good on you.

and yeah why the fuck send a ship to a place like that. Of course they are entitled to their ideals but plenty of other islands in the Caribbean more worthy of the $.

This case is a good money-earner for a poor country.

These are curious Dominicans waiting outside the courtroom to see & condemn the convicted gay men, in a country where homosexuality is illegal

Well Irene was right ............

23 MAR: Two men on a Caribbean gay cruise aboard Celebrity Summit have been charged with indecent exposure in a court in Dominica after allegedly engaging in sex on an outside deck of the liner. A report says their activity was seen from the wharf.

Celebrity Summit is on a sailing organised by Atlantis Events, a California company specialising in gay travel.

The ship called at Dominica on Wednesday and later departed for St Barts, leaving the two passengers behind.

They could face up to six months in jail if found guilty of the charge.

Gay cruises are not welcome in several areas of the Caribbean, with anti-sodomy laws receiving strong backing from religious groups.

One wonders why the Cruise stopped there in the first place or at least put out a strong warning on the Islanders beliefs.

Last time we went on a cruise my husband and I fucked like rabbits on our balcony but of course the French never did mind a bit of buggery

So they haven't been charged with buggery or committing homosexual acts, but with indecent exposure. Interesting.

Now a photo has emerged so we can see exactly what the Dominican authorities were upset about...

LOL he's even looking at the people on the wharf.

I think a straight couple would be charged with indecent exposure for something like that too, almost anywhere.
