TV station sorry for gay pornon news

Canadian television station CHCH-TV has inadvertently aired three minutes of hardcore gay pornography during a morning news broadcast.

At 9.30am on Friday, the footage was broadcast to people watching in Ontario and Ottawa in homes, cafes and gyms.

The unscheduled change in broadcast was blamed on an error by the cable provider who had apparently been making repairs.

Mike Katrycz, vice-president of CHCH News, says: “In the splicing together, unfortunately, some inappropriate content went [on] air.”

“We discovered through quick investigation that it was not [our station], it was one of the cable companies that had patched it,” he adds. “There was nothing wrong with the transmission from [us]… it was a problem at one of the cable companies that was beyond our control.”

Revealed to be footage from HardTV.com’s broadcast of Lucas Entertainment’s After Hours, the video depicted businessmen engaging in hardcore sex – “unwinding after a hard day at the office.”

Brett Drysdale, HardTV general manager, said “All I can say is I’m glad it was a high production value, quality porn playing from a top-notch studio. I emailed the owner of Lucas Entertainment and he said it was hilarious.”

Although CHCH deny all involvement with the incident. Several apologies have been issued after the incident including an official apology on their website as well as on their Twitter and Facebook pages.

The station’s hashtag #chch was soon trending on Twitter, prompting equal amounts of outrage and humour.

See the broadcaster’s on-air apology below…

This story today reminds us of an almost identical situation where a Jazz radio station aired five minutes of gay porn in the background of regular programming.

Reminds me of George st one night. They used to have a big projection screen above that night club opposite the cinemas. Someone shoved a porno on. Going home from work we were all confronted by this huge black cock thrusting into a moaning woman. Everyone was laughing and it took quite awhile for police to get keys to the club.

Truly it was a scream !

The screen had to be about 5m x 4m and was about 2 stories up . We came out of the cinema and everyone was looking
up and laughing.

There was this massive African American slamming away into this woman and there were CLOSE UPS !

hahahahaha. I remembered it was The Metro and it wasnt opened so Police had to wait for someone to arrive
with keys. Meanwhile this woman was getting fucked into next week.

I think Canada is more advanced in terms of presenting sexuality on TV compared to Australia. In Canada, there is SexTV, PrideVision and HardTV and other sex channels for subscription and some on free-air TV. I'm not sure of the are equivalent channels in Australia

There is no dedicated sex or sexuality channel here in Australia.

In the aussie TV industry sexual diversity still seems to be taboo, particularly amongst the commercial stations likes ch.7,9 & 10.
You might come across the odd documentry on SBS or ABC but thats pretty much it.

I remember a couple of years ago, Nine network's Go channel aired the first season of Dante's Cove that featured some rather intense gay sex scenes and nudity. It was shown late at night and was given a MA/AV classification ( the highest classifcation that can be given to a tvshow broadcasted in australia) however just a few weeks after the first episode was shown it was taken off air after the nine received some complaints (mainly from christain family groups).

Dont appologise for it! If there is anything they need to be sorry for, they should appologise for showing the crappy storyline beginning part of the scene, rather than the real action
