New Madge Album On Its Way
Madonna’s just put the finishing touches on her eleventh studio album and some have called it her most ambitious project yet.
It’s expected to have a hip-hop flavour and she’s been working with Timbaland and Pharrell Williams to achieve this. She’s also recruited the help of Danja, Justin Timberlake, Felix Da Housecat, Mika and Kanye West.
Madonna recently held a listening party to air the new material. One attendee said on a fan site, “the room was decked out in a candy theme, champagne was being served, candy everywhere you look.” The theme was inspired by the new album’s track Candy Shop, a song which was leaked on the internet a couple of months ago.
Apparently Madonna sat around the boardroom table with attendees, she decided which tracks were played and told everyone they were in no particular order. She played Candy Shop, then 4 Minutes To Save The World, asking people to vote on which should be the first single.
Apparently the latter got a better response from the group – some have described the song as a dance version of Hey You.
The new album is expected to be released around March or April next year, and there’s also going to be a world tour to promote it, although it is only in the conception phase at this stage.
