Don't Drop The Soap!
It’s just like an episode of Prisoner Cell Block H, but nowhere near as camp. The son of an American Magistrate and Governor has developed a board game called Don’t Drop The Soap. Apart from the homophobic title it sounds like a hoot. It’s a little like Monopoly, except you’re in prison. There’s no Park Lane or Mayfair in sight, but there are bags of cocaine and gang warfare instead.
“Fight your way through six different exciting locations in hopes of being granted parole,” says the game’s blurb. “Escape prison riots in The Yard, slip glass into a mob boss’ lasagna in the Cafeteria, steal painkillers from the nurse’s desk in the Infirmary, avoid being cornered by the Aryans in the Shower Room, fight off Latin Kings in Gang War, and try not to smoke your entire stash in The Hole.”
It’s not exactly the kind of project you’d expect his parents to be happy about, but Governor of Topeka in Kansas Kathleen Sebelius and her magistrate hubby John say that they’re proud of their son’s creativity and talent.
The game includes five ‘criminal’ tokens that represent a bag of coke, a gun and three evil characters – wheelchair-bound Wheelz, muscular meathead Anferny and white collar criminal Sal The Butcher.
The game is for mature audiences only and is for sale online at Gillius Inc.
