The Next Will And Grace?
Will And Grace has been one of the biggest gay TV success stories we’ve ever seen. Could the creators behind it strike gold again? The Hollywood writers’ strike has stopped now, freeing up projects that have been waiting in the wings, one of these is a pilot from the creators of Will And Grace.
America’s ABC network has just bought the pilot which is a comedy based on two main male characters – one is straight, one is gay. They’ve been best friends since high school, they’re both in committed relationships and they spend much of their time trying to find a balance between their friendship and their relationships with partners.
It’s a case of art imitating life, as one of the show’s creators, David Kohan, is straight and the other, Max Mutchnick, is gay [pictured]. And yes, they’ve been best buds since high school too.
While the pair have past success on their side, they also have past failures too, including Four Kings, Twins and Good Morning Miami. (Don’t worry, we don’t remember them either.)
