Madonna And Guy - Splitsville Or Not?
So, lets talk about those Madonna divorce rumours. They’ve been circulating for a while now and with no official comment from either party, it’s hard to know what’s going on.
Reports have been circulating that Madonna has enlisted the services of Fiona Shackleton, the celebrity divorce lawyer who handled Sir Paul McCartney’s divorce from Heather Mills. Paparazzi have also taken shots of Madonna out and about without her wedding ring. Some sources have alleged that the pair are leading “separate lives”, while others are claiming that it’s only because Madonna is busy in New York rehearsing for her world tour. Another rumour has alleged that kabbalah has come between them.
It seems the only source close to the pair who has spoken to media so far is Guy Ritchie’s mum, Lady Amber Leighton. She told UK newspaper The Mail recently that “there’s no conversation about divorce because there is no divorce”. Appearently all the media speculation had driven her to talk because it had ‘pained her’.
“They are no different to most other couples and we all know that being together can be hard sometimes and marriages are not always a bed of roses… I’ll say it one more time, they are not getting divorced; the speculation is TT – that’s total tosh.”
Some media have alleged that there’s no pre-nuptual agreement, so Guy could stand to get quite a nice slice of Madonna’s £300 million fortune if it turns out that the divorce rumours are in fact true.
Madonna’s having a hard time at the moment. She’s just about to start a gruelling world tour and not only could her marriage be on the rocks, but her estranged, gay brother is about to release his tell all book about the star.
