Britney Gets Ready For A Circus

Fresh from her MTV “performance”, Britney Spears has just announced that she’ll be releasing her sixth studio album by the end of the year.

The new album is called Circus, and in good news for Australian fans it will be released here four days before the official release in the US. The album comes out here on Saturday November 29, before Spears releases the album in America on her birthday, December 2.

For her latest effort, Britney has enlisted a stellar group of established producers/writers that include Dr. Luke (who wrote and produced the album’s title track, “Circus”), Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and Guy Sigsworth.

It’s a good pedigree. Max Martin wrote “…Baby One More Time” and “Ooops!… I Did It Again” for Britney, Bloodshy & Avant wrote “Toxic” and Guy Sigsworth co-wrote “What It Feels Like For A Girl” with Madonna.

Same Same’s LA spies have heard some of the tracks on the album, with first word leaking back that it’s a little “rough around the edges” – but we’re not to worry, say our spies, it’s nothing that a little modern music magic can’t fix.

Fingers crossed that she’s back for good.
