Bruno Is Coming
He wasn’t in a green unitard this time, but Sasha Baron Cohen was making other fashion faux pas on a Milan catwalk this week.
Crashing an Italian fashion show in the lead up to the launch his new film Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America For The Purpose Of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable In The Presence Of A Gay Foreigner In A Mesh T-Shirt, Cohen’s flamboyant new character creation was detained for about an hour before authorities let the renowned prankster go.
The UK comedian tried to strut his stuff on another catwalk earlier in the week, but security guards caught on before he reached the runway. Launching himself on stage during the Agatha Ruiz de la Prada show, the layered look Austrian Bruno was going for was a little different to Cohen’s Borat and Ali G incarnations from previous films.
Sasha Baron Cohen is husband to Australian actress Isla Fischer, with whom he recently had a child the couple named Olive.
Poking fun at the world of fashion, police had a laugh at the recent stunt and let the comedian go.
