Tom Cruise: Not Dead

Well, he may have been a bit quiet of late, but Tom Cruise insists that despite what you may have heard, he’s certainly not dead.

Tom’s agent has had to assure fans that the Hollywood actor and enthusiastic Scientologist is in fact alive, after a fake report was published online, alleging that he fell to his death from the top of a cliff in New Zealand while on the set of his new film.

This isn’t the first time that these particular cliffs – the Kauri Cliffs – have been embroiled in a high profile Hollywood hoax. Two years ago the same reports emerged about another Tom – Tom Hanks. Perhaps it’s coming from the tourism bureau that promotes that part of the world?

While the fake reports have no doubt generated a great deal of distress to some, they’ve also caused some pretty hilarious headlines. Our favourite – “Tom Cruise Dead! No Wait, Just His Career’.
