Believe it or not, gay rumours are still circulating about Hugh Jackman. Perhaps they’re fuelled by wishful thinking? Or maybe it’s because the actor often nonchalantly refuses to comment on the speculation?

In a recent interview with Los Angeles Times Jackman said that he doesn’t like to vocally deny the rumours, because he doesn’t want to give the impression that there’s something shameful about being gay.

“The questions about sexuality I find more here in America than anywhere else, because it’s a big hang-up and defines what people think about themselves and others. It’s not a big issue in Australia,” said Jackman.

Jackman just scored his own star on the ‘Hollywood Walk Of Fame’ and was voted Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine in 2008.

He recently set pulses racing when stills from the upcoming X-Men film were leaked online, featuring the actor naked. Fox has enlisted the help of the FBI to track down the person responsible for leaking the film.

“It’s a serious crime and there’s no doubt it’s very disappointing. I was heartbroken by it,” says Jackman. “Obviously, people are seeing an unfinished film. It’s like a Ferrari without a paint job.”
