Gay Porn Star Kicked Out Of College

A Christian University in the US has suspended one of its students for starring in gay porn, although the student who was watching his classmate’s porn flick, and who reported it to the college, is still attending class.

We all do what we can to get by and John Gechter, a student at Grove City College in Western Pennsylvania, is no different. Starring as Vincent DeSalvo on porn site Randy Blue, the 22-year-old said he was using his hard earned cash to pay his university tuition fees. Gechter says that over the last two years he has starred in about 15 scenes, making between US$3,000 – $5,000 per clip.

Gechter was suspended from the university for a period of 16 months. He intends to sue his university because he believes his work has nothing to do with the university, especially as he was performing under a different name. The university has responded by saying that Gechter was acting in a manner contrary to the values of the college.

“I absolutely believe this college violated my rights,” Gechter told The Allied News of Grove City. “They [suspended] me based on my occupation. I was not doing anything illegal.”

The college has released a statement regarding the incident that says their decision to suspend has nothing to do with Gechter’s sexuality, and that any involvement in the porn industry would be frowned upon.

Gechter told WYTV.com that he wasn’t surprised most of the students supported the university administration’s decision on the conservative campus. Considering transferring his credit points to another university, Gechter says he is undecided about whether he’ll keep getting his kit off.

Hmm. I'm not sure, Spooky. I'm living with an American at the moment. It's her first time to Australia, and she just keeps saying how the US is such a Christian culture by comparison.

depends where you are from, none of my girls come from f*cked up states, they are from Detroit, San Fran, and Chicago. There is a guy in my college this semester from Virginia though, and he is borderline KKK. I think this story exemplifies how much harder people work in the U.S. to get an education at any cost and break out of their inborn class system. I'm pretty sure I'd be resorting to dealing and doing porn if I grew up in the same socio-economic bracket and was over there.

Such a shame, but i dare say he was tempting fate by choosing a conservative christian college to attend, now dont get me wrong i'm sure he did so fro good reasons (like a unique degree or certain work/life style that enabled him to keep himself in such stunning form and to perform in his job) it just goes to show the conflict in America which was founded with strong Christian values and is slowly moving towards seperating State and religion. which as we know can be a dangerous mix. to be quite honest I would love to get into contact with person and render any assistance to him i can he has a sound legal basis for his case and i beleive that SameSame as Australia's leading Gay and Lesbian community should get behind him and raise the profile of the issue via correspondance and hopefully a small feature on the subject on a 7's Sunrise or the Morning Show. at i think this matter would need to be examinded further. i dare say to have (frankly) a life that is self supporting and then to have the proverbial rug pulled out form underneath you like that is just rubbish.

You have that the the wrong way around. The American constitution was founded on principles of the Enlightenment that espoused equality, freedom, etc away from the arbitrary entitled power of kings (ie. ruling aristocrats) and the church as stipulated in the bible. The only reference to religion was that people had the freedom to practice whatever religion without persecution. However as we all know, religion has been successfully wielded by the ruling class to keep the public docile and under control, and no where especially - although extremely ironically - but the United States. The founding fathers, Jefferson especially, would be extremely sad to see how much religion has crept into governance. It also doesn't help when the religious lobby is extremely powerful in both presence and financial capacity. The fact that Jefferson a self professed Atheist would have absolutely no chance of being elected president if he ran for office today (or in the last century) is a blaring testament to religions influence.

GOD! America being a "Christian Culture by comparison" seems so Bi Polar or Multiple Personality Disorder by my reckoning; the Us produces more porn, more violence, more differences between the Haves and Have Nots than just about any country I have ever visited! Especially those gun totin southerners who are supposed to espouse those Christ like virtues of love, acceptance, forgiveness, and grace! What a sham.
