Second Child For Pregnant Man

Pregnant Trans-Man, Thomas Beatie, has given birth to his second child, a baby boy this Tuesday morning. Beatie became pregnant just months after the birth of his first child, daughter Susan Juliette.

Last year Thomas Beatie, 35, and his wife Nancy, 46, were both placed in the international spotlight when Thomas became the first legally recognized trans-man to get pregnant. The couple reported to the ABC in the US that both births were natural child births, and that Nancy would be the one nursing both infants.

I wish people (not here though obviously) would stop questioning his gender. Transsexualism is a complicated subject and society needs to learn to respect the person's chosen gender and the reasons why.

I am happy that this generation of TS folk are getting a fair go, it’s about time. This story is nowhere near unique its just they chose to be transparent about it to desensitise the issue. Yes they will make money from books and interviews. So what I would too. Those kids will have a great loving supportive upbringing. Thomas youteh man.

Did anyone watch Rove tonight? I put myself through it to watch the delightful Lily Allen... Rove and some comedian made some pretty harsh comments/"jokes" about the transgendered man who recently had a baby. Referred to him as an "it" and compared him to circus freaks (the bearded lady). I'm curious to see if a big deal is made of this ala The Footy Show 'Elton Johns' skit...

Good on him! I will never understand the objections people have. Sure, it's a little odd, but who cares? I am sure he's a fantastic father.
