Matt Lucas: Fat Fighter
After being ordered to go on a special diet back in May, 35 year old Little Britain comic Matt Lucas says that he’s managed to stick to his rations of 1500 calories a day and that it’s working.
As Matt told Heat magazine earlier this year, “My doctor said that my health was at risk. I didn’t want my health to be in danger. My dad died at 56. So I thought I needed to sort it out and take responsibility.”
Lucas has told The Sun that his costumes are getting looser.
“I’m not under any illusions. I’m never going to be stick thin but I just wanted to be healthier. I’m not being radical about it, I’m sticking to 1,500 calories a day and working out three or four times a week. I want to get rid of my breasts – my clothes are sliding off me.”
Lucas says that despite his trimmer self, there’s been no love interests on the horizon since splitting from his husband Kevin McGee last year.
“As far as my love life goes there is nothing to speak about.
I’ve never dated a fan but they mainly send me chocolates and handcuffs. But they’re very cheap chocolates and very cheap handcuffs.
“If anyone wants to send me money, I’d be more than happy. Or gift vouchers. But no more pornography please.”
