Tom Cruise is being sued by a man who claimed to be his gay ex-lover, over allegations of wiretapping. Michael Davis Sapir claims that Cruise hired private detective, Anthony Pellicano, to tap his phone.
Pinknews.co.uk reports that back in 2001 Sapir claimed to have video evidence which proved that he was having a gay relationship with Cruise. According to documents filed at Los Angeles’ County Superior Court, Sapir said that Cruise hired Pellicano to spy on Sapir during the court case.
The case was eventually settled out of court, after it was acknowledged that such video evidence did not exist.
According to entertainment site Tmz.com, Sapir is suing Cruise for for $5 million US (A$5.7 million).
