Pint-sized pop goddess Kylie Minogue has topped a new list of the UK’s most powerful stars.

Market research firm Millward Brown asked 2,000 people about their favourite and most likeable celebs. Minogue came out on top, beating second place-getting singer Cheryl Cole and famous footballer David Beckham who came in third.

The research firm’s boss congratulated the Aussie-born star on her result. “Kylie is widely accepted as an adopted Brit,” said Mark Husak. “People know her, like her and she is surrounded by positive buzz.”

Minogue, 41, recently stripped for a new breast cancer awareness campaign – she was pictured wearing only a silk bedsheet.
